At RECYCLA the focus of our company is innovation and sustainability for the benefit of society. We are a “social business venture” that seeks innovative and financially sustainable solutions to social problems.

We know that technology users in Chile and in the rest of the world are beginning to recognize electronic waste as a significant environmental issue. However, there is still a long way to go. For this reason, at RECYCLA we are committed to getting businesses and communities involved with concrete efforts to recycle.

Our company incorporates people with criminal records and women  women living in halfway houses. in the recycling process as a way to provide them with a work opportunity that will help them achieve job stability and Decreasing the rate of recidivism.

What makes RECYCLA a social business venture?

A social business venture begins with the vision of a pragmatic leader who seeks to create sustainable systemic social change through innovation of new focuses and more rigorous applications of known technology.

This is the definition of “social entrepreneurship” used by the Schwab Foundation (Geneva, Switzerland), which in 2008 recognized the founder of RECYCLA, Fernando Nilo, as Social Entrepreneur of the Year. The criteria used to award this recognition are: innovation, sustainability, scope and social impact.
